Founded in late 2004 by Dr. Peg Herbert
Needs are decided by local leaders and their communities
More than 9,000 orphans,vulnerable children, youth and grandmothers benefitting from its programs
15 schools in Lesotho are helped by the Schools Helping Schools program in Canada
HL builds leadership among the orphans and youth
HL has 200 grandmothers involved in various villages
HL has five areas of foci:

Education and School Projects
HL purchases its goods in nearby villages to support the local economy.

Pearls for Girls

Founded by Mary Murphy to help build leadership and global awareness among young women. Carefully chosen pearls from China are made into beautiful pieces of jewellery (bracelets, earrings, necklaces) of various prices to support girls’ leadership programs in Lesotho.

Together we are building young leaders in both countries who will make a real difference to those girls who have no other support.

Buy some jewellery for yourself and as gifts. Host a ‘Pearl Bee’ to make the jewellery. Wear P4G jewellery to promote both Pearls for Girls and Help Lesotho.
